I really like your first image because I think that the image of a small, sparsely furnished tatami room is one of the most stereotypical images of Japan. This image gives the impression that all Japanese are tidy and like to keep their homes immaculate. Everything out of place would probably be straightened up right away.
ReplyDeletea very eclectic group of photos. They all fell like they go together except for maybe the last one. The kendo photo is by far my favorite. A foreigner seeing this photo with no knowledge of japan would be very interesting the armor is like nothing that existed at the time. the environment photos are all very beautiful and and have such a strong Japanese ascetic. Due to the natural lighting and coloring the last photo stands out and seem out of place in the group but i understand why it is in the group.
